Welcome to the Department of Languages

 

The Department of Languages one of the oldest departments of the college, comprises various languages namely, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu, Arabic and also Indian Heritage and Culture. The Department is mainly connected with U.G.Courses and B.C.A. and M.Sc (Biotech).

 

Apart from conducting the regular courses in English, the department has designed a tailor made course in English language skills for the students of U..G and P.G. Besides regular academic activity, the faculty had been counselling the students of U.G. and P.G and has also been helping them hone their English language skill which is a pre requisite for securing plum jobs.

 

With the introduction of Computer based testing (CBT) of English language skills the department has also been conducting periodical lab sessions for the students to enable them improve their listening skills. A Language Lab has also been established to provide training and testing in Speaking Skills.

 

The department of languages hosts induction program to freshers every year.There are frequent extension lectures by various eminent Professors and Academicians frequently. The Deloitte Multinational Company has Extended its community service to all the UG and PG students.
