University College of Science, Saifabad (UCSS) (formerly PG College of Science, Saifabad (PGCSS) a constituent college of Osmania University is situated in Masab Tank in Hyderabad was established in 1951. UCSS offers UG and PG courses as well as research facilities. Library is the backbone of the college, supports the teaching and research requirements. The Library caters to UG students, PG students, Research scholars, Faculty, non-teaching staff etc.
The UCSS Library is spacious and well organized and is housed in about 3500 sq ft hall in ground floor of Library building. The Reading area, reference room, stack area etc are all on same floor. There is a seating area of 40 students in the library at a given point of time. The library has collection of about 16545 books covering basic science, applied science, general reference books as well as Languages including Arabic, English, Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Environmental Science, Indian Literature Culture and History. There is a main library and seminar libraries in all departments in our college.
Library is open to all its members throughout the year except on declared public holidays, second Saturdays and Sundays. This library functions from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm during the working days.
